This is a painting I did for my boyfriend Justin at the time (now my ex...) as a Christmas present that was largely inspired by =appletrees impressive NITE BOAT [link] . He likes pirates and ships... so....
 I feel the ship and the waves turned out incredibly 30's-black-and-white-animation-style... which highly pleases me. I didn't really use a reference for the ship, I had made some sketches from references earlier for this painting, but wound up doing this entirely from memory of those. So in case anything looks off - that is why. I am still very content with this painting. |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
